  2. bassermelissa said: Its written on an 8th grade level. Of course its not. Not attacking, just saying.
  3. the-nard-cat said: OH MY GOD. I am so happy to have found other people that agree. I love the plot, and I enjoyed the books but the writing style can be so dull at times! I’m soooo excited for the movie to come out cause I can enjoy the plot w/o falling asleep.
  4. once-a-person said: Dude, I agree two hundred percent! The writing isn’t as good as it could be.
  5. keepcalmandcounttheshadows said: i like the hunger games trilogy because of the plot, not because it’s well written. it’s an easy book. but a book doesn’t have to have a+ vocab to be good.
  6. primadonna-hooker said: I like the premise of the hunger games (and battle royale, which is similar), and i loved reading it, but the writing is fairly awkward. What I feel this book has other BR, though, is its easier to read - I’ll just rent BR on DVD
  7. babyslothsandpuppysizedelephants said: nah, I’d agree with that. I’m new to the Hunger Games: it’s good, but like you said, the premise is the strongest point and the writing is probably the weak point. That’s not to say it’s terrible, just not (imo) amazing. The characters/plot are great
  8. nobodyreadsyourfuckingblog said: Sounds like you need to read Battle Royale.
